I've come to check my DA notes and it's
full of people pitching me comic ideas, asking what my page rates are, or when I am available to possibly work with them. Which... well, first of all, I am very honored! Thank you for your interest in me. Second of all, I'm sorry for my general lack of response. I don't communicate through DA (I use this account as a portfolio account, and rarely anything more!), nor do I check my messages as often as I could (I am very busy, as you might have guessed).
Still, so many people have inquired that I thought it'd be best to answer these inquiries in a journal entry:
1)
I am not available to pursue any comic pitches. I am very flattered that my work appeals to you so much--enough to be interested in contacting me for your own projects! However, I am completely unavailable to work on outside project ideas. I am working on two comics full-time (#
sfeer-theory and #
foxsistercomic), various personal side-projects, freelance illustrations, and saving major cities under a stylish disguise by means of superhuman mutated abilities gained from a fateful contact with radioactive material. It's a full life, let me tell you. I barely have time to interact with my unreasonably gorgeous designated love interest, much less draw more things...
2)
There is no hypothetical waiting list for clients. It's truly amazing that there are people out there willing to wait until I am available for outside comic work, but I can guarantee that you will be waiting quite a long time! Unfortunately, I just don't accept pitch ideas from other people. I am very sorry.
3) What I do make myself available for is freelance illustration work! I freely encourage people to inquire on my availability and a quote for it! The best way to do so is by email: chirachira@gmail.com
From one story-creator to another, I have utmost respect for wanting to pursue your project and give it light. I hope you fulfill your dream, and I wish you the best success.
